100th anniversary of regaining independence
Meccore String Quartet was honoured to feature in concerts celebrating the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining its independence, which took place in Bozar Brussels and Elbphilharmonie Hamburg as a result of collaboration with Polish Institute Brussels and RADIO NDR Kultur.

Concertgebouw debut
October 2018 saw the debut performance of the Meccore String Quartet in prestigious Concertgebouw Amsterdam, where they featured works by Karol Szymanowski, Krzysztof Penderecki and Pyotr Tchaikovsky. The concert was broadcasted by the dutch Radio Clara.

P. Tchaikovsky - String Quartets and Sextet for MDG
The beginning of October marks the release of the new album with String Quartet and Sextet “Souvenir de Florence” for the german label MDG featuring Isabel Charisius and Valentin Erben of the legendary Alban Berg Quartet. The Super Audio CD was recorded in the Warsaw National Philharmonic Hall by Friedrich Wilhelm Rödding.
Season 2018/19
We are pleased to announce that with the start of our new season, the founder of the Meccore String Quartet Aleksandra Bryla, is returning to the ensemble after her maternity leave. We would also like to welcome a new member to the quartet, an outstanding polish cellist, Tomasz Daroch.
Grand Finale MISQA 2018
The Meccore String Quartet had the prestigious honour of performing at the final concert of the Montreal International String Quartet Academy 2018, held in Pollack Hall at McGill University, where they executed Krzystof Penderecki's String Quartet no.3 among other pieces.
FRYDERYK 2018
The latest and very well received album with String Quartets by Edvard Grieg released by MDG is nominated to the Fryderyk 2018 prize granted by the Polish Society of the Phonographic Industry.
