The MSQ would like to invite all the supporters to experience and share unforgettable moments with the quartet in one of the most prestigious concert halls in the world – the Wigmore Hall in London. Thanks to the crowdfunding campaign at zrzutka.pl, the quartet will be able to produce and release digitally the video recording of this unique event. The program of this concert consists of works by Krzysztof Penderecki and Bedřich Smetana. Valuable prizes are prepared for all the donors!
MSQ at La folle journee in Nantes
Meccore String Quartet is going to perform twice during this year’s La Folle Journee in Nantes (1st and 2nd March 2020). Both concerts are focused entirely on the string quartets by Ludwig van Beethoven. For more information visit the official website of La Folle Journee.
Wigmore Hall
February 2020 brings another return of the quartet to the prestigious Wigmore Hall in London, where in 2012 they received a number of prizes and distinctions at the Wigmore Hall String Quartet Competition. This time the audience will have a chance to listen to Krzysztof Penderecki String Quartet no 3 “Leaves of an unwritten diary” and Bedřich Smetana String Quartet no 1 in E minor “From my life”.
MSQ at the National Philharmonic in Warsaw
Three string quartets, three touching stories in pieces by Beethoven, Janáček and Smetana will be featured in the concert on 11th February 2020. Tickets for this event are available at bilety.24.pl.
Opening concert of the Beethoven Year
Meccore String Quartet is going to celebrate the beginning of the Beethoven Year in Lizbon, where they are performing on 26th January among other leading European string quartets in the frame of a String Quartet Festival organized by Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. This year’s edition is dedicated entirely to Ludwig van Beethoven. The repertoire of the evening consists of his String Quartet in F major op. 18 no 1, String Quartet in B major op. 133 “Grosse Fuge” and String Quartet in A minor op. 132.
New chapter
After a succesful year of a fruitful cooperation with Tomasz Daroch, a new chapter in the history of Meccore String Quartet opens with the cellist Marcin Mączyński joining the group. Stay tuned for the first concerts coming up soon!

Meccore String Quartet was honoured to feature in concerts celebrating the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining its independence, which took place in Bozar Brussels and Elbphilharmonie Hamburg as a result of collaboration with Polish Institute Brussels and RADIO NDR Kultur.
