Released in 2013, the long awaited debut CD of the Meccore String Quartet. The album features crown jewels of the classical repertoire – W.A. Mozart’s String Quartet in G major KV387 “Spring” and L. van Beethoven’s String Quartet in E minor op. 59 no. 2. Both these pieces brought the MSQ a number of prizes and distinctions during the Premio Paolo Borciani String Quartet Competition in Regio Emilia and the Wigmore Hall String Quartet Competition in London. The CD was very well received by both the critics and audience. It is still among the best sellers in Quartet’s discography.
